Ahmedabad, Oct 2 (UNI) Mohammed Siraj, Jasprit Bumrah and Kuldeep Yadav turned the first Test on its head as West Indies crumbled to 162 all out at the stroke of Tea at the Narendra Modi Stadium here today. Siraj opened the floodgates, cleaning up Tagenarine Chanderpaul for a duck before sending back Brandon King and Alick Athanaze. Bumrah then reminded everyone why he is the master of chaos -- John Campbell thought he was safe, but UltraEdge said otherwise, and he was walking back after a couple of classy drives. Then came Siraj's magic. Brandon King misjudged a nip-backer, the stumps flew, and Siraj wheeled away like Ronaldo. Alick Athanaze followed shortly after, nicking to KL Rahul. Three wickets before lunch, West Indies wobbling at 42 for 4, and it was only the beginning. Shai Hope and Roston Chase tried to steady the ship, adding 48 runs with some classy shots -- Hope's drives, punches, and clips past midwicket looked effortless. Chase's cheeky reverse sweeps and wristy nudges brought some sparkle. But cricket loves drama, and Kuldeep Yadav brought the house down on his Test return. Flight, drift, turn, Hope (26) was frozen as the ball kissed the inside edge and crashed into off stump. The carnage didn't stop post-lunch session. Washington Sundar trapped Kyle Pierre LBW, Siraj struck again to send back Chase, and Bumrah finished the innings in style -- Greaves (32), Johann Layne (1), and Jomel Warrican (8) all back in the hut. Kuldeep sealed the deal with Warrican, wrapping up the West Indies' innings. Extras (21) and a couple of drops couldn't save the visitors. India's bowlers controlled every session, every over, and every ball, leaving West Indies reeling and India firmly in command. Match Score: West Indies 162 all out in 44.1 overs. Top scorer: Justin Greaves 32. Siraj, Bumrah and Kuldeep delivered with the ball, setting the stage for India's batsmen to roll their wrists and take guard after tea.
